This book, a CD Journal Mook published by Ongaku Shuppan Sha, is subtitled, “Know the Japanese rock era via 50 people and 333 albums. ” The book comprises brief articles, interviews, lists of important acts and capsule reviews of (333) albums. In this series of posts, I will go year by year, listing the records the editors believe you need to know in order to understand Japanese rock. I will also note the writers of the album capsule reviews. Volume 2 will follow.
